Music of Hans Thomalla & Beat Furrer

We have timbre-wrangler Hans Thomalla on the hook for a full-scale new work this season, titled Bagatellen for String Quartet, and those that have been watching closely will know that we recorded his transportiveAlbumblatt on our debut album. We’re also eager to bring Austrian composer Beat Furrerinto view. Easily one of the most brilliant sonic craftsmen living today, Furrer is largely off the radar in the US, and we think his String Quartet No. 3 is a perfect point of departure.

Bowling Green State University is a hotbed of new music. We will sleep in that bed.
