A Very Virtual Rehearsal: Anna Thorvaldsdottir's "Enigma"

At long last, we’re finally getting back in the rehearsal room together, and we we’re inviting you to join us!

The premiere of our most ambitious project to-date, Enigma, was one of the early COVID casualties. Composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir and video artist Sigurdur Gudjonsson’s was all set to launch at the Adler Planetarium and then travel around the world (including Iceland!), but now we all have to wait a bit.

Or do we?

We are headed down to Virginia to record this transportive project with our good friends at Sono Luminus this month, so our first steps back into the rehearsal room are naturally devoted to this piece. We love letting you, our loyal fans, peek into our process, so on October 9th, we’re offering you a multi-camera entry into our rehearsal space. There, you’ll be able to see how this extraordinary work is unpacked and then reassembled and polished, and you’ll be encouraged to ask us questions along the way.

We are beyond excited to be back playing together, so why not share the joy?
