This album, featuring our recording of Bagatellen, and Clara Lyon’s solo performance of Air marks a vital new touchstone in Chicago’s new music community and its visibility around the globe.

Sideband Records is a new Chicago-based label for contemporary music. It presents different voices from Chicago’s vibrant New Music scene – chamber music, electronic music, and artists who move between the worlds of improvisation, composition, and performance. Further releases will include a broad spectrum of recordings from an international roster of artists. Sideband Records was founded by composers Chris Mercer and Hans Thomalla.
