Alyssa Martinez

In addition to her work with Spektral Quartet, Alyssa Martinez assists with development for music presenter Constellation Performing Arts and produces Chicago’s Pitchfork Music Festival (https://pitchforkmusicfestival.com/).

She also oversaw the Chicago Community Grant Program, which has awarded $20,000 in community-raised micro-grants to grassroots organizations in the Chicagoland area since 2012.

Alyssa Martinez is a poet, visual artist, mother, and community and arts organizer. As a cultural programmer, Alyssa's practice focuses on engaging and supporting mothers and families of color through community building and arts. In fall of 2019, she co-produced the P.O.W.E.R. Project v.3 out of Comfort Station. Her creative work explores identity, memory, spirituality, and the body. She is a proud recipient of the 2019 3Arts Make a Wave Award.
