21st Century Musicianship Presentation at The Juilliard School

What does it mean to be a 21st-century musician? How can you chart your own musical path? What will your musical legacy be? The multi-GRAMMY-nominated Spektral Quartet presents an inspiring – and executable – model for a successful musical career with an impact that ripples far beyond the concert hall. Join us on November 9th as Spektral pulls back the curtain using real-world examples and anecdotes from their critically-acclaimed projects, uncovering effective and meaningful approaches to collaboration, community-building, curation, and advocacy.

Juilliard alumn violinist Clara Lyon and her colleagues will also provide specific takeaways and actions that are usable at any stage of your career, and specifically designed for Juilliard students. As a special addition to this presentation for the Juilliard community, participants are invited to experience a demo version of Spektral’s new double-album – Experiments in Living – which transforms the act of listening to an interactive, multi-dimensional experience.
