Visions for the Future – See you later, 2020

This has been a…trying…year, but the time away from the stage has also given us the opportunity to reevaluate our dreams and goals as an ensemble. What has also been made crystal clear is the interdependence between us and the communities we serve. More specifically, you have shown us with your generosity that you want to help us past this difficult stretch – and that is so incredibly affirming and inspiring to us.

If you haven’t already, please consider signing up for our brand new membership program. It takes just a minute, and there are many, many tasty benefits that await you.

As we close out 2020 (ew, David), we wanted to share a Chamber Music America article we contributed to, highlighting our post-pandemic hopes for chamber music at large:

Our vision for the return of “in-person” performances is one in which the audience is served as a gathering of distinct “persons” rather than a faceless monolith.

We dream of ensembles that have actively integrated with those they serve, chipping away at classical music’s historic colonialist practices through friendship.

We imagine performance spaces filled with a flexible network of intimate, enduring connections. And the good news is, we don’t need to wait for the concert hall doors to swing back open to get to work.

Have a smashing New Years Eve, and we’ll (hopefully) see you live and in the flesh soon!
